| We consider one-dimensional media composed of local elements with hyperbolic chaotic dynamics. A coupling between elements is introduced via diffusion. Using covariant, or characteristic, Lyapunov vectors we study the hyperbolicity of chaotic dynamics of the media against the strength of coupling. Violation as well as restoration of the hyperbilicity is observed. |
