Charge fractionalization in a model of spinless fermions on a kagome lattice


We study a model of spinless fermions on finite kagome clusters. For this model, fractional charge excitations occur at 1/3 filling. We present an investigation of the statistics of these fractional charges through the comparison of dynamical properties of hardcore bosonic and spinless fermionic spectral functions. Furthermore we discuss a complementary dimer model analysis.
