This year's focus days are concerned with “Quantum Correlations in Molecular Systems”. How is entanglement generated and measured during ultrafast processes such as excitation, ionization, and non-adiabatic transitions? What is its relation to loss of coherence in molecules? These are central questions we want to discuss. Since direct many-body simulations are often infeasible, practical descriptions rely on classical or semiclassical approximations. Therefore, the focus days will also explore to what extent these approximations preserve electronic coherence, decoherence, and electron-nuclear entanglement.
The focus days are Monday-Wednesday. The talks of the second half of the week (Thu–Fri) will address general atomic physics.
Selected speakers from the poster contributions may be chosen to give an oral presentation on their work.
