Topological Materials: From Weak to Strong Correlations

International Focus Workshop
11 - 13 April 2022

NOTE: While the workshop is postponed to 2022, there will be a virtual stay-in-touch meeting in August 2021 --> click here for more information and participation!

The Focus Workshop “Topological Materials: From Weak to Strong Correlations” (TopCor) will bring together the weakly-correlated and strongly-correlated electron communities interested in topology. It will highlight the extensive recent developments in each of the two areas, and foster interactions between the two communities.

Topics include

Weakly correlated topology

  • Latest developments in topological band theory
  • Topological insulators and semimetals: Properties and materials
  • Topological superconductors

Strongly correlated topology

  • Topological Kondo insulators
  • Strongly correlated Weyl semimetals
  • Topology in spin systems: Iridates and Kitaev physics
