We are looking for talented and motivated Ph.D. students and postdocs with a strong background in Physics and related disciplines. The institute offers a number of programs for both students and postdocs. Contact the group leader, Ricard Alert, at ralert[at]pks.mpg[dot]de to discuss potential projects. In addition to the group's research, new research directions include

PhD positions

Fully-funded positions for 3 years, with the possibility to extend to 4 years.

Fully-funded 3-year positions for independent postdocs with personal research funds. There are 2 calls per year. The program is an initiative of the Center for Systems Biology Dresden and it seeks excellent candidates at the intersection of theory and experiments. Apply here.


Distinguished PKS Postdoctoral Fellows

Fully-funded 3-year positions for fully-independent postdocs with their own research program. There is one position per year. Ideal for outstanding and experienced candidates as a key step toward a group leader position elsewhere. Apply here.

We support applications to postdoc fellowships funded by research agencies. Examples include EMBO, Marie Curie, and HFSP fellowships.
