Image-based Modeling and Simulation of Morphogenesis

International Focus Workshop
13 - 15 March 2019

Progress in live imaging, image processing, as well as physical model development and scientific computing bring predictive simulations of morphogenesis within reach. This workshop aims to discuss the latest developments that bring these fields together through 2 focus areas:
- imaging and modeling of morphogenetic processes
- simulation of large-scale biological systems

Topics include

  • Image-based modeling of development
  • Generative image-based modeling
  • Computational morphodynamics
  • Developmental biology at the molecular scale
  • Intracellular morphogenesis and pattern formation
  • Controlling dynamics and randomness
  • Multiscale modeling for biological systems
  • Simulation of developmental systems
  • Active, self-driven systems
